We welcome the wonderful Amy Albright from the Oshkosh Conventions and Visitors Bureau in Episode 009! We get caught up with the newest addition to the Ambas Clan with the birth of Marie Pacita Eckerman Ambas! Amy shares her time growing up in Oshkosh, her positions at the YMCA, and the opportunity that lead to her current gig at the Oshkosh Conventions and Visitors Bureau.

We share what facebook groups, Support Local Oshkosh and Love Oshkosh have meant to the community and come up with a project that we would like to work on together to help promote Asian owned businesses in town.

On April 9th in the Philippines, it is known as the Fall of Bataan. We talk about that area's importance during World War II when it was occupied by the Japanese and how that area was protected with Prisoners of War from the Philippine and American militaries.
We talk briefly about the WWII exhibit and how a family made it their mission to preserve and share classic architecture from the Philippines, mainly from the Spanish occupation, and bring them back to life with modern amenities at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar.
We talk about the sushi take home kits and her husband's experience with it and how it's just a fun thing overall that was created during the pandemic.
